It has been a rough transition from winter into spring this year in Minnesota – this week we still got hit with snow, sleet and freezing rain. With temps still in the 30’s, this has made shooting new spring inventory an exceptional challenge. I dreamed of flying our team to some tropical oasis for a week of fun and photography, but ultimately decided that if I did this our CFO would not be impressed with me at the end of the year. And that CFO is me. So basically, I’m a fun hater and forced this team to keep all spring shoots in Minneapolis.
When brainstorming new content, we thought it would be a good idea to write a post about how you can style your tall girl black jeans in the spring. Tall girl black jeans you ask? YES, it’s true – we just recently restocked a best-selling, customer favorite – our Sophia Skinny in Black. It’s a classic mid-rise and has such a great fit, further complimented by an extremely soft and comfortable fabric. You would think that the 35” and 37” inseams available are the best part, but actually we like to think the best part is the price tag: these are available for under $50 on our website!
Here are three fun looks for spring, brought to you by our favorite tall black skinny jeans:
BLACK ON BLACK.
I know this may sound intense for spring, but you really can’t go wrong with an all-black outfit.
It’s super chic, and super easy.
Our Cold Shoulder Top is the perfect match for these jeans. White accessories make the outfit pop and hint towards warmer weather 😉
CHAMBRAY + MUSTARD.
Everybody seems to love the chambray + mustard color palette, and it’s even better with black jeans on the bottom!
I layered our Lowry Cardigan (made with extra long sleeves – WIN) over a light chambray shirt and completed the look with some basic, nude booties.
These jeans look good with even just your favorite basics.
I wore our Jodi Top (you can find other tall girl basics here) with a statement necklace and sliders – an easy, everyday outfit. I threw on a blush pink blazer over the top for layering, and good thing I did – it started hailing/snowing during these photos, LOL!
Maybe if we keep dressing for spring, spring will actually come?! 🙂 Thanks so much for reading! – Alli
